Nxt Studio was commissioned to re-design a global shoe and fashion design company's North American office space. The tenant suite is inside one Los Angeles' landmark buildings, the PAC Mutual building. One of the design goals was to visualize an urban and contemporary office culture. As a production designer to assist in developing design development drawings, I also worked on the permit drawing package. Additionally, I drafted design details for the entry screens. The below images depicts the site, presentation renderings, floor plan, and the final result. The space conveys the combination of contemporary office culture and the historic qualities of the site.The shoes were chrome painted and used as a ceiling art piece. Additionally, the brick weathered to match the existing conditions of the wall. The design principal sketched out the details of how the lobby screen would be constructed, and one other person and I implemented his design into the construction drawings.
